Job: Freelance Marketing Design Coordinator
Scope: 20-25 hours per week, 100% remote work
Paid hourly (1099 form)
Must have own laptop
Office Location: Remote
Summary: Entry to mid-level Marketing Design Coordinator with experience writing for digital media, using a marketing Email Service Provider (Constant Contact, Emma, etc.), managing audience groups, and using Microsoft Office applications. Also requires experience with layout design, using templates, and enforcing brand standards. Freelancer will work both independently and collaboratively to coordinate and deliver content to various audiences as directed by a content calendar. Desired candidates will be tech-savvy and have an eye for design.
Responsibilities:
– Writing and building email marketing campaigns using templated designs (ability to maintain company voice and branding standards)
– Maintain communications with internal contacts to ensure consistent and cyclical content for audiences
– Edit PowerPoint documents for corporate branding, grammar and proper image use
– Rearrange multi-page PDF documents and maintain different variations of similar documents for different audiences
– Use basic design principles to recreate templated signage and documents with new information in the same format (margins, image cropping, font use, etc.)
– Manage online library of digital publications and QR code links.
Required Experience:
– Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in design, communications, journalism, marketing, or another relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
– 2-3 years’ experience producing designed publications, signage, documents, either from templates or new creative designs
– 1-2 years’ experience with an email marketing platform (Emma, Constant Contact, etc.), including examining and reporting analytics
– Advanced in Microsoft PowerPoint
– Proficient in Microsoft Excel
– Experience or interest in food industry is a plus
– Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop/InDesign, especially)

– Excellent written and verbal communication skills
– Ability to manage multiple projects at once
– Have an eye for design and be able to tell if something is consistent with a template (spacing, fonts, color use, etc.)
– Detail-oriented (especially with respect to best practices for visual branding)
– Knowledge of current communications standards (especially best practices in web communication)
– Ability to thrive in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
– Be a team player, who learns new systems quickly
